Personal Truths

I will be adding and deleting to/from this list from time to time. I've decided I need to have a place to keep track of me.

001. I almost always notice when someone does something to their hair.
002. I think differently than most people. I call it "thinking around corners".
003. I wash my hands diligently; perhaps relentlessly. It's a borderline disorder.
004. I know a little bit about nearly everything.
005. I am supremely impressed by talented musicians and love discovering them.
006. I love an underdog. Especially one that wins.
007. I occasionally have a sense of humor that drops you on your head.
008. I am deeply troubled by the state of our country and the world.
009. I am ashamed that we permit capital punishment in America.
010. I am burdened by abortion.
011. I have never, ever met a stranger.
012. I prefer large dogs.
013. I don't like cats because they make me sneeze. If they didn't I probably wouldn't like them anyway.
014. I love live music as close to the stage as possible, on the left.
015. I save my concert ticket stubs.
016. I am very loyal.
017. I refer everyone to my dentist.
018. I'm a pretty darn good dad. The greatest epic experience of my life.
019. I love my kids so much. I hope they get to experience parenthood someday.
020. I am at peace by the ocean.
021. I am at peace in the mountains.
022. I can't stay mad at anyone other than politicians.
023. It bothers me that we mistreat the earth.
024. I would like to see us provide healthcare for all children.
025. I really enjoy smart people.
026. I love to read. I just wish I could read faster.
027. I love old things. This is self serving and perhaps narcissitic, now that I'm middle-aged.
028. I watch "Sunday Morning" and I'm disappointed when I miss it.
029. I think Sean Penn is one of the greatest actors of our time.
030. I still have a pair of shoes from high school that I wear as slippers. The laces are missing.
031. I drive too fast.
032. I'm friends with my ex-wife.
033. I've had a lot of stiches.
034. I'm still friends with my 6th grade teacher.
035. I love restaurants that serve unusual food.
036. I love New York City.
037. I am annoyed when someone writes a check at the grocery store. Can you say debit card?
038. I can't believe anyone still smokes cigarettes.
039. My life changed forever the day my son was born. That was the first time in my life that I cried tears of joy.
040. I wish I didn't have to grow old and leave here. I'm really enjoying the planet.
041. Neil Young is my favorite musical artist.
042. I think O.J. did it.
043. I really like walls and fences that are done well. Like stone, brick or wrought iron.
044. Giant, old trees make me want to sit under them.
045. 99.99% of life is feeling. The rest is blather.
046. I can't believe they cut down trees to print People magazine.
047. I like my coffee strong with cream and sugar.
048. I enjoy meeting new people.
049. I caught a seahorse at the beach in 2006. We let him go.
050. I've never met anyone famous who left much of an impression.
051. I've seen New York from atop of the World Trade Center. (RIP)
052. I wasn't born with a religion. Someone had to assign me one. Why is it that some insist theirs is the "one" and some of those are willing to kill me to prove it?
053. I expect a lot of the people closest to me both personally and at work.
054. I love my iPod
055. I'll always insist on paying. Period.
056. I never quit.
